FAQs About Goldendoodles
Do Goldendoodles shed?
No! Goldendoodle puppies are hypoallergenic, meaning they don’t shed and are far less likely to cause allergic reactions. However they do need to be brushed regularly to keep their coat soft and clean.
How big do Goldendoodles get?
Due to the huge range of sizes in Poodles, Goldendoodles can weigh anywhere from less than 20 pounds all the way up to 100 pounds! We breed all sizes of Goldendoodles, from Standard Goldendoodles that weigh between 45 and 100 pounds, to Mini Goldendoodles (30- 45 lbs), and occasionally even Micro/Petite Goldendoodles (8- 30 lbs).
What are Goldendoodles like?
Goldendoodle puppies are ideal for many types of homes because they are laid back and adaptable. They are also very loyal and bond quickly to their family.
Golden Retrievers and Poodles are both very intelligent breeds making Goldendoodle puppies easy to train with consistency and patience. They love structure and once trained correctly, will be a life long best friend to the entire family.
About Our Goldendoodle Breeding Program
How a puppy is raised in the first weeks of it’s life is almost just as important to the puppy’s personality as genetics! Me and my wonderful team do our absolute best to raise our Goldendoodle puppies to have amazing temperament, conformation, and most importantly, health. We DNA test all our adults for Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) and Von Willebrand’s (VWB). Our adults are also Hip and Elbow certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). We believe a healthy Goldendoodle is important but we also know families are searching for a Goldendoodle puppy that is hypoallergenic, cute, fluffy, and affectionate. We go a step above to ensure this by DNA testing all our adults for the shedding gene to ensure our best chances at a very low to non-shedding Goldendoodle puppies.
Reviews from owners who've purchased a Goldendoodle puppy from us
Thankful to Poodles to Doodles each and every day.
We have been looking for a puppy since we had to say goodbye to our 12 year old Shitzu Einstein. I kept looking at mini Doodles from different breeders. My husband wasn’t convinced and wanted another Shitzu, we still had our 2nd Shitzu Elvis. We tried and tried to get one from a breeder but something always happened to prevent us getting one. On December 8th I got an email fro Poodles to Doodles and saw a picture of the cutest mini golden doodle. I showed my husband and he said we need to get her. I called and spoke to Jill, she was so helpful answering my questions. I hung up and Bob and I talked for maybe 3 minutes and he said he was positive about getting this cute little girl. If you knew my husband, it takes him forever to make decisions. I called Jill back and sent the deposit. We were able to pick our Daisy up on Christmas Eve. Jill was so organized and had everything ready for us. Daisy is a perfect puppy. We have taken her to puppy obedience training and everyone loves her. They say….she is beautiful, respectful and did fantastic with her training. She brings us Joy everyday and we can’t imagine life without her. Elvis is 11 years old so he is adjusting to puppy play. Bob now wants another doodle. He loves Daisy and she loves him. I would recommend Poodles to Doodles for well adjusted, beautiful and healthy puppies. We thank God everyday for Poodles to Doodles.
Our mini sheepadoode is such a joy to our whole family! She’s healthy and delightful – we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
Greatest Breeder Ever
Poodles 2 Doodles is an amazing breeder. I have had many dogs, have even worked Rescue of dogs. I was hesitant about buying from a breeder. However after dealing with this breeder and then visiting them, I was amazed and so glad I went with them for my mini Sheepadoodle. They have the best facilities I have ever seen and treat all the puppies like their own. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If I ever need another dog, this is the only breeder I would buy from.
Other Frequently Asked Questions
What colors are Goldendoodles?
Goldendoodles come in many different colors! Including:
The most common Goldendoodle puppies are completely solid in color, generally golden with a cream, apricot, or reddish hue.
For years we have produced the deep red color many people want in a Goldendoodle puppy. As desires of our families change over the years, so does our program. Over the last couple of years we have worked hard to produce red and white abstract Goldendoodles, red and white parti Goldendoodles, and now the blue merle Goldendoodle puppies. The solid colored Goldendoodle is still very popular but the parti, abstract and merle colors are now generally more desirable.

What do the different generations mean?
The different generations depict how much Poodle is in a Goldendoodle puppies’ genes. This is relevant for people with severe allergies, since the more Poodle, the more hypoallergenic.
